PRE-FLIGHT DRAMA
AMERICAN AIRLINES SCREWS UP AGAIN

As we were scanning our boarding passes to walk down the jetway, another gate agent called for Phil to hold back from boarding. And so it begins…..

Basically he was being denied boarding at the time as American Airlines changed the configuration on the flight and his seat, along with two others were broken. For those familiar with the American Airlines drama back in may where we sat on the plane on the tarmac for a total of five hours and re-planed, missed our connection in London and got COVID while traveling for 40+ hours and missed our Greek Cruise with 42 friends, this was becoming all too familiar.

The gate agents weren’t updating Phil and I told him they announced on the plane that “boarding was complete” and Phil said yea they just closed the boarding door.

Luckily, a nice man in the seat opposite me in business class gave his seat up for Phil and moved to the broken seat (didn’t even know that was an option or I would have). The flight attendant couldn’t care less and the supervisor wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. As a former airline employee, I come with a lot more understanding and compassion but this has just kinda become quite sad and AA will no longer be in my top 3 choices for flight again.

Thank you to 4A for showing more kindness and care than the airline Phil dropped $4k on to treat him properly.

Oh…….and to make it even better, Mick Mulvaney (Trump’s former Chief of Staff) is across from us. So, there’s that………
